Simply Medjugorje

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PILGRIMAGE REGISTRATION/PREPARATION

Pricing
Prices shown on our Simply Medjugorje website and related flyers are based on double occupancy in U.S. Dollars, and reflect a 3.0% cash discount (fee higher for AmEx). Your base price is based on the currency rates and fares in existence at the time of your confirmation. Simply Medjugorje reserves the right to alter pricing at any time prior to departure and without prior notice if circumstances warrant, such as an increase in the currency exchange rate of 10% or more, or changes in airfare rates from the carrier.
Deposit, Payment Schedule & Registration
A $500.00 per person, non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking with a completed reservation application. Deposits cover initial Simply Medjugorje services including, but not limited to account management, administration, tour organization, accommodations/travel arrangements, document preparation, etc. Full payment is due 10 weeks prior to the departure date. If a booking is within 10 weeks of departure, full payment is due with booking.

Forms of Payment
Checks, ACH, PayPal, American Express*, Discover, Visa and Master Card. The 3.0% cash discount (*higher for AmEx) will be removed from credit card payments. In case of any billing error, we reserve the right to re-invoice and correct billing.
Not Included
Tips to guides/house hosts/drivers, Travel Protection Insurance, Passport/Visa Fees, items of a personal nature (such as telephone calls, mini bar, laundry), drinks and meals not mentioned as included.
Travel Protection Insurance
We highly recommend Travel Protection Insurance. Please refer to https://www.insuremytrip.com/ and/or other similar companies for options. Prior to securing Travel Protection Insurance, we suggest checking your personal health insurance policy to see if you are covered for any circumstances while traveling internationally, and confirm what documentation you’ll need to have with you if necessary. Also, if you use a credit card to pay for your pilgrimage, check your credit card company’s travel benefits. Some do offer a limited amount of travel insurance.
Passports, Visas, Visa Waiver & Documents
A valid passport is required, and it must be valid for at least 6 months after your scheduled return date. It is the traveler’s sole responsibility to obtain and have available when necessary the appropriate valid travel documents. All guests are advised to check with the appropriate government authority in each country visited to determine the necessary documents. At times, hotels may require that they hold your passport. We recommend carrying a photocopy of your passport with you for that reason. Please note the pending European Visa Waiver requirement initiated in 2022 https://www.etiasvisa.com may be updated at any time. When and if a Visa or Visa Waiver is required, it is the passenger’s responsibility to obtain one. Simply Medjugorje owner or agent cannot be held liable for clients not having proper passports, visas, visa waivers or other travel documents. Cancellations due to a lack of appropriate documents will incur usual penalties. A Passport Card is not acceptable for International Air Travel. Attempting to use this instead of a Passport Book will result in a denial of boarding by the airlines and entry by the legal authorities.

Final Travel Packages/Documents
Final Pilgrim Packages are mailed approximately three (3) weeks prior to departure, including Bag/Tote, Nametags, Luggage Tags and Tip Envelopes. Flight Itineraries and Final Confirmations (Guide Contact Info, Hotel Info and Emergency Contact) will be emailed approximately three (3) weeks prior to departure. Upon receipt, you are responsible for confirming your itinerary, including your name, dates, times and other important information. Should there be any errors, you must contact Simply Medjugorje via email within 24 hours.
Changes in Reservation
After a reservation is confirmed, any changes are subject to additional fees. If you wish to change to a different departure date outside of 10 weeks prior to departure, a $200 non-refundable transfer fee will apply in addition to any differences in airfare. If you book an Air & Land Package, and change it to Land Only, a $200 non-refundable fee will apply. Name changes are not permitted.

We will make every effort to provide you with your requested seat, however we cannot guarantee it. Seat assignments are at the discretion of and subject to the airlines, changing aircraft and corresponding seat maps. We recommend being at the airport early to ask for a preferred seat assignment.
Young Travelers
Travelers who are less than 18 years old on the departure date must be accompanied by an adult. If this adult is not the parent, or traveling with only one parent, it is recommended that a notarized letter be written by both parents or the non-traveling parent, granting authorization for the minor to travel, including the dates of tour (from/to just in case of medical emergencies). We also suggest that you contact the appropriate consulate and airlines because they may have additional requirements. An infant is defined as anyone who is under the age of 24 months for the entire duration of their trip. A child is defined as any one between the ages of 24 months and 11 years for the entire duration of their trip.
Travel Advisories
It is your responsibility to be informed about your destination with current travel advisories by referring to the U.S. State Department’s travel website at travel.state.gov or by phone at 888-407-4747. In the event of a State Department Travel Advisory against travel to the specific destination location(s) of the trip, should you still choose to travel, notwithstanding any travel advisory, you assume all risk of personal injury, death or property damage that may arise out of the events like those advised or warned against as per Terms and Conditions.

Without Airfare/Land-Only and Transfers
Airport Transfers are included in our Without Airfare/Land-Only packages for regularly scheduled departure only if you provide your flight schedule, on or before 60 days prior to departure. From time to time, a tour may be canceled due to non-materialization. If you choose to purchase a “Without Airfare” package and arrange your own domestic or international flights, such flights, or any purchased items outside of Simply Medjugorje are the sole responsibility of the client.

PILGRIMAGE
Simply Medjugorje Itinerary Disclaimer
The itinerary reflected on our website and flyers highlights our goal for our pilgrims under ideal circumstances, but there is no guarantee that all locations will be visited, or experiences realized. Every effort will be made to follow the itinerary, but occasionally local religious holidays, national days, weather, length of trip and other events may require changes. Ensuring daily Holy Mass will always be our priority, regardless of what the rest of the day brings.
Photography & Videography
Simply Medjugorje reserves the right to take photographs and videos during the operation of any tour or pilgrimage and to use them for its purposes thereafter. By booking with Simply Medjugorje, you agree to allow images to be used in such photographs and video. If you prefer that your images not be used, please advise us in writing at any time prior to departure and to identify yourself to our Local Tour Guide at the beginning of the pilgrimage.
Physicality of Our Tours
A Medjugorje pilgrimage may require a lot of walking, sometimes up/or down the hills, on rough and uneven terrain. We suggest that you begin walking longer distances, including inclines, approximately 3 months before departure, building towards being able to walk 3 miles without discomfort. If you are not able to walk long distances, accommodations will be made to assist you by any means possible.

Special Medical Conditions/Those Who Need Special Assistance
You must report any disability requiring special attention to Simply Medjugorje at the time of registration. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to any tour participant for walking, dining, while in their room, on flight, getting on and off motor coaches and other vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified and physically able companion(s) must accompany passengers who need special assistance. It is the Traveler’s responsibility to arrange for such assistance prior to making their reservations. We will accommodate disabled passengers by reserving wheelchair assistance at airports and handicap accessible rooms where available, however, we cannot guarantee and are not responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants or other independent suppliers. Be aware that our tours are operated outside the U.S. where the ‘Americans with Disabilities Act’ is not applicable and facilities for disabled individuals are limited. The touring motor coaches are not equipped with wheelchair ramps or lifts. Motorized scooters are unsuitable and impossible to accommodate. Simply Medjugorje is not responsible for any medical condition that occurs prior, during or after the tour. A pregnant woman is advised not to travel after 6 months of pregnancy. We recommend bringing a companion. Note that level of comfort may be adversely affected by long flights, layovers or long bus rides through remote locations.
Responsibility Clause
Simply Medjugorje acts as a tour operator. Our partners providing air or ground transportation, sightseeing arrangements and accommodations are not Simply Medjugorje employees. By utilizing our Simply Medjugorje service you agree that Simply Medjugorje and its partners will not be liable for any change in flight or itinerary schedule, strikes, delay, acts of governments, fires, riots, theft, pilferage, epidemics, quarantine, medical or customs regulations, accident, loss, injury, or damage to you or to those traveling with you in connection with any accommodations, transportation or any other services or resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrence or conditions beyond its control, including defects in vehicles, breakdown in equipment, thefts, delay or cancellation/changes in itinerary for any act, omission, or event during the time you are on tour, or on board the aircraft. Neither Simply Medjugorje and/or partners are to be held responsible for the late arrivals or departures of passengers to airports or hotels due to inclement weather or other reasons, nor are we to be held liable for payment or refund for transfers or unused service, accommodations or meals resulting from such late arrivals at the hotels holding rooms as confirmed itineraries. Passengers will be responsible for such losses or expenses. To guard against unforeseen health or other circumstances, we recommend you purchase Travel Protection Insurance, in addition to confirming your own personal travel insurance provided thru your credit card if you paid for your trip by credit card. Simply Medjugorje is not responsible for circumstances beyond its control.
Tour Cancellation due to Force Majeure or other Events Affecting Pilgrimages
In the event a pilgrimage is cancelled, postponed, delayed, or rescheduled due to force majeure (i.e. Act of God, State of War, Terrorism, Strike, Pandemic, etc.) or any other condition beyond reasonable control, the purchase will be honored for an equivalent attendance to the next scheduled occurrence of the pilgrimage. The pilgrim will be expected to either attend or transfer the purchase accordingly. No cash refunds will be issued. On rare occasions, a tour departure may be canceled due to a lack of participation. In this event only, Simply Medjugorje will contact you with options. Simply Medjugorje is not responsible and does not assume responsibility for any additional costs or any fees relating to the cancellation of air tickets or other arrangements not made through Simply Medjugorje. Such cancellations are not the fault of Simply Medjugorje. Great efforts will be made to accommodate passengers. Simply Medjugorje and its partners are not liable for any restitution, and in addition without limitation, are not responsible for any injury, financial or physical loss, death, inconveniences, traumas, or damages connected to any inclusions other than provisions of any goods of services included.
